Tips for Packing your Airline Luggage
There are a few quick and easy ways to make packing your airline luggage, not to mention the traveling itself, much more successful. To avoid traveling stress and luggage hassles, check out the following tips.
Make a list of everything you want to pack before you even take your airline luggage out of the closet. By the time you make your packing list, and check it twice, you will be much less likely to forget anything and your packing will go much faster and be less stressful (since you'll already have done the mental work).
Make sure all your luggage is packed and ready for the airline well ahead of time. Don't try to pack an hour before you need to leave for the airport, or late at night the day before.
Organize the things in your in your luggage with the least needed items on the bottom. It may sound obvious, but putting your spare sweater which you may never need on the bottom will help your packing and repacking as the trip progresses.
To minimize wrinkles, try rolling your clothes instead of folding them. Wedging the rolls into your airline luggage will help keep them in place and neater looking.
Be careful with putting liquids and other messy products in your airline luggage. Make sure to carefully secure them against spilling onto all the rest of your luggage contents. I prefer to put anything which might possibly spill in ziplock bags, just in case.
Distribute weight evenly across your luggage. Don't put all of the books into one travel bag and only clothes in the other. Distribute the weight to make airline luggage transportation easier.
It may sound superfluous, but pack a laundry bag of some kind in your airline luggage. That way, as you wear your clothes and generate dirty laundry, you won't have to mix the dirty stuff with your clean clothes.
